Hi all, Just wondering what size and brand of air pumps you would use for a sponge filter in a 55 gal tank? Do you want to have a lot of air flow or just a gentle flow? thanx, Steve

Just curious do you use an airstone in your sponge filters? Steve

You were absolutely right Francis, after installing an airstone that monotonous gurgling sound coming from my tank is gone.:D Steve

yes a hydro sponge. so u just put a little bit of air line tubing and add the stone under the plastic piece then snap it on to the fillter, and then put the main air line hose to the top of the filter where it normally goes?
