Don't let my wife see your tank she will try to take those great fish. She loves the snow white,bd, and the eruptions. Your so lucky to have great fish from Kenny but we wouldn't expect anything less. Nice fish take care of them.

These pictures were taken around the end of January but I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong with Photobucket back then.

This was just after a water change, but this fish basically has a solid red color

Kenny you lived up to your guarantee, I love them!

Wow - they are gorgeous, and they look so happy!!! :)

Are those RGD albino or normal strain? I love all of your discus in that last post!

02-18-2009, 09:43 PM
What strain did you buy the fish as in Post #5.... the first picture. I like that fish very much...

nice to finally see a pic of your Jan shipment Casper

I hope lazygod doesn't mind that 2 of us kind of jacked his thread, but maybe he's too lazy to care :P

Yassmeena, these are not albino red golden diamonds, they were just new to the tank and then I did a waterchange. I should post a current pic but then the card reader I just got broke after a few days.

Ric, I've finally gotten my fish to eat some Hikari discus bio-gold, I just upped the temperature to 90 degrees! I'm going to make some of the food you're giving your fish from Eddie's recipe too.

Kenny you're right about your guarantee, I really love these fish! I learned more about raising discus with help of people like you and others on this website, so I'm going to try harder with these guys.

That RGD is nice, love that body shape:D good luck.

make sure you use a food processor otherwise you are going to struggle making it. they started eating it a lot more now

This is a picture almost 3 weeks later of the most dominant fish, a red golden diamond. (Taken Feb 19th)

I think it was a bit more solid colored when the temperature was 86 degrees. It lightened a bit in 90 degrees (current temperature.)

Nice body shape and nice color, good job Casw:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
I think your right about the temp, that happen to me too, thats why I put 86+ in my tank.

Your Red Golden Diamonds and Carnation Snakes looked to be doing very well in your tank. Great job! For the Carnation Snakes just be patient with them it'll take a bit more time for them to show their full potential(pattern & color). Also thank you for posting both the before and after WC pictures of the Red Golden Diamond(s)...as you remembered, I've mentioned many times in my sales thread that the RGD's might look much lighter first thing in the morning, in their sleep mode, after a WC, etc...that the light color isn't their true color. I think your pictures are great for illustration purposes for the aforementioned color trait.;)

Keep up the great work Casper!:)
