I'm just looking for general information such as gph, watts, etc, not necessarely a specific name/brand.

I'm setting a multi-tank rack, 4 tanks per level with a max height of 7 feet for the top tanks. Total gallons aprox 300 gals. I got everything plumbed with 1/2" pvc pipe, all drilled tanks, water flowing back to the sump. I also got a check valve, so the water won't flow back in case of power outtage. I might use the same pump to expand to another rack of same gallonage.

In general, I like submersible pumps because they are less noisy, plus the dissipated heat underwater can help heating up the water; unless somebody can convince me that a non-priming outside pump is better. So ....just waiting for the right pump.....any hints? :o

I personally like the Magdrive pumps, ie: mag12. I currently have a mag18 that i'm trying to find a use for and I am already useing a mag5. Spread sheets for most pumps are pretty easy to come by on the internet.
