Hi All

I have aquired a LARGE BOC Co2 bottle. and would like advice on conecting it to my Co2 regulator /solenoid . I understand I have to get a reducer to bring the pressure down to 3 bar. is this correct . any advice most welcome.

Not sure what kind of bottle you are dealing with. Can you explain?

Best wishes!

russel, first of all make sure you can get someone to refill the bottle - because of EU regs this may be more difficult than you think

the pressure of the bottle should be about 50 bar and the regulator will need to bring the pressure down to 1 1/2 to 2 bar, 3 bar is too high

i can send links of a good quality regulator that i bought from a german supplier on eBay if you want

i would also check out UKAPS forum - i've followed their thread for using a fire extnguisher; its working a treat! http://www.ukaps.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=37&sid=a1bcca30b5a296d24cbf50fdaf21340e

also, check out and ask Q's on Tom Barrs website, brilliant advice and info there:
http://www.barrreport.com/

do lots of research before first using pressurised - many people have wiped out their stock using incorrectly. also, this stuff IS dangerous so take care handling!
