how do you guys clean used media ?im kinda out of $ atm to buy new ones.Any info how to properly clean used media any help would be appreciated

What are you referring to exactly? Media of what sort and from where? Media that you have in a filter now?

My siphen is kinda slow so while its draining into the tub i pull my canisters and squeeze out the sponges for a bit useing the tank water. They dont get perfectly clean but i have been useing the same sponges/ blue stuff for over a year now.

how do you guys clean used media ?

Squeeze/Rinse in tank water when I do water changes. I siphon out a bucket, squeeze the sponges in the bucket, return the sponges, dump the bucket and fill with a bucket of new treated water. I've got sponge filters a decade old and doing fine.
