am considering buying one of these two strains. would like to know if anyone has any experience with them. specifically, i consider myself still a beginner with discus. would like to know if one of these strains is a bit easier to keep than the other. also, do i have to avoid feeding red food (like TetraBits) to either of these strains?

thanks,
Chandan

I know you shouldn't feed tetraBits to yellows or they will turn orange. You can feed the Albino's though. ;)

I have four golden albinos, including a pair I recently purchased from Eric (Carolina Discus). All four of mine are good natured, hardy and eat anything. I don't feed tetra bits because I have blues in the tank with two of them.

Olá varez,

Prazer em conhecê-lo

Are you in Europe or in the States?....Wayne Ng has resellers for his discus in Europe.....In the States you could contact Kenny Cheung....recently I got some AG from his last shipment.

Martha, those are incredibly beautiful, esp love the middle pic...when I moved to Tn, gave away my yellows....when I am in better health I'd love to have some more of them; those (your GAs )are a big step up....someday...

Dottie ;)

Hi Francis,

Nice to meet you too ;) Do you speak Portuguese?Cool. I am from Europe(Porto, Portugal).I know where to buy them, thanks anyway, what i really want to know is the outcome of an albino pair.I am thinking to acquire an albino pair and try to breed and raise the fry.But if they did not produce a good % of albinos it really doesn´t worth it.

csarkar001: Thanks and good luck to you too.

Best Regards

Pedro

Thanks Dottie! Pedro, a pair of albinos only produce albino fry. There's quite a challange, however, in raising them.
