mag 5 vs. mag 18

I have both of these pumps....I like the 5 since I have a warm and fuzzy the pipes won't blow and the pump can work to its full potential tho it kind of flows out of the return like a water hose turned on half way. the mag 18 of course is a beast and it sprays out of the return pipe with more pressure. but it of course is constrained in a 3/4 inch pipe... I have a 150 gal. which should I use?

IMO, the 5, the 18 would be approaching reef tank turnovers and velocities.

Put the 5 and 18 on ebay and run a Mag 7 ?

What kind of head height do you have ?

Want at least 3-5x/hr turn over.
That would be 500-800 gal/hr at your head height. More doesnt hurt either
although most people say Discus want calmer water.
