Well, almost. :) Officially they've been here for one week tomorrow.

Because of the low lighting on my tank and in the room in general, I've had to use flash for the pictures. It washes out their eyes. I'm noticing that a couple of the fish are much lighter and peachy in color while the others are a nice golden hue. I love the little red edge along their dorsal fins.

The fish are getting 90% w/c everyday and about 5 - 6 feedings. They are starting to enjoy the beefheart. Most of them eat the ONF1 pellets but I have a couple that ignore it. They act like it's not even in the tank. Everyone loves Hikari bloodworms (naturally).

You'll have to excuse the dirty tank bottom. This is pre-water change!

Here are a couple videos. In the second video they are eating Hikari Discus frozen cubes. None of my fish, including the discus, seem to care for them. It's bloodworms mixed with little pellets of squid/fish. You'll see them mouthing and spitting out the pellets. They just pick through the cubes and eat all the bloodworms.

Hey Ryan, they look great ! Good food and big water changes that's the ticket. :)
These discus do have some variance in color huh, I have one I called Whitey, a lot lighter than any of the others. Guess that's good, can tell them apart. Good job, take care,

Bill

They're looking great! I've never had a discus past or present that would eat the Hikari frozen discus cubes either.

Ryan,

Looking great! Thanks for the update! I noticed that I have one that is a bit on the peachy side as well. The rest seem to have that golden hue like you mentioned. Very interesting! Can't wait to see these guys all grown out! This year is going to fly by!

Best wishes!

Great job Ryan! It looks like Al made quite an effort to mix up the colors for all of us.

I have the same stuff and mine will do the same thing. After the pack is gone no more of that food, they don't eat the squid-fish pellets and it makes a mess.
