pH question

i've noticed a 1/2 point increase in my tap water pH these past two weeks. Is this a seasonal thing based on warmer temperatures. anyone else seeing anything like this?

Yes, pH can fluctuate, from different circumstances weather etc...as Ive been told from my water company. I notice a slight change in levels after a rainfall, mainly!

Totaly normal. Just keep an eye on it.

Yes it can fluctuate from rainfall, or lack of rainfall, and where your water is gathered from. (lake, river, well)
If from a well the ph is greatly influenced by CO2 in the water.

Water companies will also add additives to make the water less acidic to preserve the pipes.

The main thing is stability in the aquarium. (that the ph does not shift much after the tap)

1/2 point change over 2 weeks is not to worry about.
