Here is my 4 week update. All of these guys are all about the same size (4" +)so far. Everything has been going well with them. Eating real well and healthy. I think I am going to slow down a bit on there feedings as they same to be getting a bit too fat. I do not want to do any damage which could hinder them in the long run. I have been keeping thing consistent with maintenance, w/c's and feedings. I am posting a day one picture at which time they were 3". Today they are 4 3/16" TL. I have been increasing the Ms/TDS for about a two weeks now.I started to add some color enhancer to the food last week. The shape looks pretty bad in the photo when he was out of the water, but they all are developing great shape.I hope you like their progress:D

1 3/16 inch growth in one month is awesome. I don't think anyone could ask for more than that. Great job. :)

Looking great! I can see a bit of a double chin starting. How may feedings were you giving? Great growth! Seems that we are all about at the 1" monthly mark.

Best wishes!

Looks like they're growing like weeds. Are they all about the same, or is this the biggest?

Chad, I have been feeding 8 to 10 x a day, 5 x my hi pro home mix. I am cutting back on the protein to 50 % on average.I will feed my home mix 3 x day and flake, pellets 3 x daily for the next week and see. The angle of the picture was poor as it was taken on top of the tank at 5'. No doubt they could loss a bit of weight, but so could I:)

Chris Chris, I measured three today and they were with in an 1/8". All the sizes are real close. He was the second largest, first was flipping too much and I did not want to injure him.The smallest is probably 3 7/8".
Thanks

Awesome job! Not all mine are the same size. Got a couple slow growers.:o

Everyone's getting really good growth! I think we're going to need micrometers in the end to find a winner.:p

Hey Kenny,

That's some amazing growth you've put on those guys. Unless you don't work, you must drop in some food every time you walk past the tank :) Beautiful fish. I can't wait to see what the next few months will bring for the challenge contestants.

Kenny, very nice, rapid growth, 8-10feeds what can I say apart from fabulous. With strict water conditions & heavy feedings is the way to grow some big guns! Keep up the great work!

Regards
Ahmed ;)

Hey Kenny,
That's some amazing growth you've put on those guys. Unless you don't work, you must drop in some food every time you walk past the tank Beautiful fish. I can't wait to see what the next few months will bring for the challenge contestants. Kirk, i feed them small meals. I try to keep to a schedule with their feedings to help insure they are able to digest before feeding again. I have someone feed all tanks frozen mixes 2 x a day when i am at work and my auto feeder is set for 2 x between the frozen meals. I am hoping to get a 1/2" growth in the next 4 weeks.
