Hi Guys,
I need recommendations on how to build a rack to hold a 90g, 55gal, and a couple of 29gals. I thought I would use the 90gal and 55gals for grow out tanks and put them on the bottom and the future 29gals on the top for breeders. After looking at the dimensions the tanks I am not sure if I can mix and match. I am going to use 2'x4'x8' construction with 3/8" plywood shelves, 1" styrofoam. It will be located in my basement. Here is my plan: I would make a two tier rack. First section would start at 24" and the tank space would be around 20" and would have 3/8" plywood bottom with a piece of 1" styrofoam on top of that. This would allow me to insulate the sides of the tanks. The second tier would start at around 59" from the gnd. The 90gal is 24" heigth therefore this would leave around 6" from the edge of the tank to the edge of the 2x4. The top of the 29gal tank would be at around 77" which is alittle higher than I wanted to make it but I think it will work. I have not worked out all the plumbing and electric but I have an idea on a piece of paper.
I would appreciate your help and any pics or links.
Thanks
Brian
