Well I made it back alive from 2 weeks of the decadence and debauchery that is heavy metal music. (gettin to old for this):D Things look great with the contest fish. I did a real good cleaning of both the grow out tank and my 300 gallon display, taking most of an evening. I noticed a build up of some algae on the bottom of the grow out tank. I've never seen this particular algae before, very bright, lime green. Anyway I scraped it off and cleaned all the sides and wiped down the heater, cleaned the sponge, got everything spick and span.:)

Everything looks perfect. The auto water changes were flawless while I was away. Rochelle didn't feed them quite as much as I do when I'm home. I have a habit now of feeding a little bit practically every hour. I'm doing 75% water changes daily.

I have to say that everyone in this contest is doing such an awesome job.;) It really is a pleasure raising these guy's and I think it really is going to come down to the wire!

Here's a video of a blood worm feeding party:)

Hi Steve,
I suspect you are as impressed with your discus as we all are, they look great.
You know, we were supplied nice discus to get things off to a good start but it is your experience and good care that is making your discus grow out so well. You are doing awesome and it is showing in those fish. :)
Welcome home,
Bill

I really appreciate those kind words Bill:) but I have to admit that my experience is strictly limited to what I've learned here at SD. There's no way I could have gotten this far without the collective effort of everyone on this forum.:D:D:D
