Following the success of our debut show last year BIDKA are hosting the 2009 British Discus Show. We have a world class line up of speakers and judges too as well as the best Discus suppliers in the UK.
We already have confirmed visitors from the USA, Germany, Sweden and many other places and the event is supported by many of the top brands within the fishkeeping hobby.
When:
Weekend of 28th and 29th November 2009, benching Friday 27th pm.

Show Classes:
We will have at least 72 show tanks this year. The classes for this years show are as follows:
Class 1 - Solid Colour - e.g. Blue Diamond, Marlboro, Cobalt
Class 2 - Striped - e.g. Turquoise, Snakeskin, Brilliant Turquoise
Class 3 - Patterned - e.g. - Checkerboard, Pigeon Blood, Ring Leopard
Class 4 - Spotted - e.g. Leopard, Leopard Snakeskin, Penang Eruption
Class 5 - Open - e.g. Albinos, Red Whites
Class 6 - Wild Caught - e.g. Heckel, Blue, Brown, Green
Speakers and Judges:
Andrew Soh - back by popular demand and is our senior judge, Andrew will be giving a talk on "Creating Designer Discus"
Jörg Stendker - Jörg will be judging and giving a talk on "Diskuszucht Stendker from beginning to now"
Ralf Battenberg - Ralf will be giving a lecture (subject to be confirmed) and will be judging
Jeffrey Tan - Jeffrey will be giving a lecture (subject to be confirmed) adn will be judging
Dr. Peter Burgess - Peter will be giving a lecture on "Parasites of discus and other fish"
Mike O'Sullivan - Mike will be judging.
