Another QT question [Archive]

I have 5 Discus in my 125 gallon.

I would like to add at least one more.

But mostly I would like to add a few more.

Discus are best kept in groups...

If I QT one Discus by itself in a 50 gallon tank, will it be OK?

If I get 3 from a sponsor, and QT them; will they be upset for the QT time?

I recommend you get three, because I suspect if you get one you will wish you had bought more. ;) They'll be fine for the quarantine if you buy from a reputable source. They may not be happy, but it isn't forever.

Agreed. Three in a 50 is a lot better than crowding in a QT tank, that's for sure, and it makes keeping up water quality easy...
