Caught a few pictures in the morning before I turned on the tank lights.
This is a 4 foot, 80 gallon tank, these guys are filling the space without getting too over crowded or too much aggression.
Gills were slightly flared, respiration slightly fast, 4 hr 2ppm pp, worked perfect.

And turned the lights on.

I've always heard big discus equal big spawns, big eggs, big fry and healthy discus, certainly makes sense to me. :)

woww Bill, those look amazing. thats like my dream tank for my albinos...same dimensions...all black...oooofff, thats a beaut! ;):D

they are really lookin great. one of these days im gonna move my albinos to a bigger, all black tank. the standard 55 gal. they are in now is getting too small. alittle off topic...but Im starting to not really like the standard 55 gal tanks. they are waaaaay too skinny. long and tall...but toooooo skinny. thats why I love my new 75 gal. its suuuper deep! ;)

fish look awesome, your certainly doing a GREAT job with them. cant wait for the judging! its gonna be a close one IMHO.

take care Bill.

Thanks Jason, hey, nothing about discus is off topic in these posts ! :)
I really like all your discus including your albinos and you are doing an awesome job with yours. :):)
I hear you about the 55 gallon tanks. I would trade all my 55's for 80's if I could, much better tank size.
The back of their tank is painted black, the bottom is painted a light sand color and the ends are clear. The light bottom helps taking pictures, but,
not sure it helps with their eyesight. I only use 2 cheap 2 feet florescent bulbs, it doesn't take much to make the albino's stand out against the black background.
Thank you for the compliments. :)

Great looking bunch. They are thriving in your care.

Thank you Robyn
I can only say it must be the discus because I do absolutely nothing special for this group. Change water daily and feed just the basic foods. No vitamins, minerals or suppliments of any kind.
They are a good bunch of discus. :)
