Why don't you take a pic so we can see how the plants adjust over time? That would be helpful for a lot of people, methinks.

Phil

Sorry for not posting this sooner, but I was wrapping up final exams and then went out of town the very next day!

Here is an update of my new aquscape. You'll notice that there is one large amazon sword on your left. To the right however, there are 3 more babys growing out as well as a baby leaves of a madagascar lace, and in the middlish there is a red tiger lotus baby. Gotta love watching a planted tank blossom! :)

Happy holidays everyone!!!

Hi Kirk,

It's a 72G bowfront, 2x 54W T5 HO Gieseman Midday and Aquaflora bulbs (awesome), I dose excel, lights on for 1 hour at 6am for morning feeding and then 6 hours starting at 5pm for evening viewing. I also dose seachem iron.

When my huge gallon of excel runs out though I am going to start dosing EI dry fertz.

I do 85% biweekly WCs.

More space - exactly! The air diffuser though is something I just haven't gotten around to changing yet. :o

Those are actually albino checkerboard pigeons - they rock! I am selling one if you are in the MI area and interested, PM me.

My background is painted on, yes! (spray paint)

Thanks Eddie - I love that guy! It's an albino turq. He has beautiful red accents in his dorsal and ventral fins. I haven't measured him, but eyeballing he's about 8.5" easy from mouth to tail. Love him!!!

Thanks everyone! And thanks Kenny for the gorgeous discus! They are the stars of my living room (well them and my toddler - :D)!

Beautiful! I like the changes a lot. You're right, it's great watching a tank like this grow in and blossom.

Good job! Quite a step up from your start of a 29 gallon tank and your questions about bioflora! :D:D:D

P.S. The Madagascar Lace plant isn't hard to keep for a short time; like most Aponogetons, it wants a dormant time and when it decides to "sleep", oftentimes it doesn't wake up (the tuber hasn't stored up enough nutrients is what some people say).
