DPT8's Local discus meeting

Hi Folks. I wish to have a discus meeting January 9th @ 1:00 pm so as to get together with area discus nuts and talk shop.. EVERYONE is welcome and all are invited.. This meeting is not to take the place of our NADA meetings ( Al is in charge of that). But I wanted to encourage more people in my area to get into discus plus have some discus friends over :0) I did check with Al first so he'd understand our goals :9)

The menu is lasagna and salad.. I hope many can come.. Thanks !!

Great idea-Hopefully you'll have a nice turnout & convince them to attend NE Discus club mtg.'s also !
Sitting here watching the snow fall ,I doubt that I'll be able to make it to New England in Jan.
Anxiously awaiting spring meetings.

i was munching down that party mix big time over the summer meeting in CT and then made the mistake of asking her what she put in it. might as well have had a steak dinner! LOL

Great meeting we had.. around 10 people joined in, talking discus plus Martha did a great job with her slide powerpoint presentation of her trip to England's BIDKA show !! Great job Martha !! There was MikeL, Fred22, John ( new member of the forum) Martha, me plus some local discus nuts !! Thanks to all that attended !!!!!

Hay it was a lot of fun. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer, but i did get to see Martha's whole presentation/slide show. It was really cool to see some familiar faces, and meet some new ones, especially people like John who is so enthusiastic about the prospects of keeping discus. Keep in touch, and a big thanks to Dave and Celeste for putting up with us for the whole afternoon! :)mike;)

Thanks to David and Celeste for hosting such a fun discus meet! It was great seeing familiar faces and new ones as well. It seems like more and more of the north east discus entheusiasts are hooking up! It was wonderful, as well, to have an opportunity to talk about the state-of-the-art BIDKA show held in England last November. Perhaps we will have an American contingent to the spring '11 show. :)

sounds like you guys had a blast, I should have tried to make it. have had a pretty hectic schedule lately tho. woulda been cool to meet everyone, Mike...Martha, woulda been nice to see you again and see ur BIDKA presentation. maybe next time! ;)

Guys, It was a nice meeting.. Like many others, there were some of my friends from Simply and also new people, now new friends :9) There should be a North East Discus Club meeting next month ?? Don't know where or who is hosting it, but look for the announcement.. It is so great to interact with everyone and get different views on your questions, plus fooooood :9) See you all soon. David T
