The Pioneer Valley Aquarium Society is pleased to announce that the annual tropical fish auction will be held Sunday, February 14. This is arguably the largest tropical fish, aquarium plants and dry goods auction in the northeast. The doors open at 9:30 am for viewing and the auction begins at 11:00. There will be door prizes and raffles, and food and refreshments will be available. I hope to see you there!

I've been twice to the PVAS auction, it's BIG! If the weather's not too bad I'll probably go. See you then Martha!

Sounds great, Nancy.

Ken's Fish will have a table at the auction, and if people like they can pre-order from him and he will bring along the order for pick-up.

I was going to ask that. Are the driftwood guys coming too?

Terry Bella, owner of PetStar, will have a table set up with driftwood. I will also be donating white worms, and there are usually plenty of bnp's for sale.

Awesome! I can't wait! There are a limited number of places around here to go for really good aquarium stuff - worth going for all your "hard-to-fin" supplies so you don't have to pay shipping.

I attend church in the morning with my family, and it usually goes to about 12, and will be able to get up to chicopee at about one thirty. Will the auctions still be going/tables set up or will I be wasting my time? I'm looking forward to it :)

Just a reminder that the PVAS auction is this coming Sunday. If you plan on coming and would like to pre-order from Ken's Fish, give him a call and he will bring it along to the auction. There should be plenty of wood for sale, and I expect lots of bnp and a few containers of white worms will be auctioned off.

Is there is a place to find the list of items for auction?

mmorris
02-11-2010, 02:21 PM
Sorry, no. The list would be HUGE, but also, we won't know what many of the items will be until people bring them in on Sunday. It will take hours to auction off everything, and that's moving at quite a clip. I hope to see you there!

I will say this - it was HUGE.. Didn't hang out long - may be 20 mins.. but from what I saw it was no way ending soon...

The auction itself ran for something like seven hours at an incredibly fast, non-stop clip. I'm waiting for the totals from the treasurer but we all anticipate a highly successful outcome. :)
