I upload my 85k pics as I am told. They become thumbnails that you click on to expand.
How do people insert these huge pics directly in their posts? ie Kenny's discus shows maybe one hundred beautiful large pics in his posts

You can upload your pictures, whatever size file you want to a free photo bucket account. Once saved, you can move your cursor over the picture you want to post and a drop down list will appear. From there highlight the "IMG" link, copy, then paste it into your message post on Simply Discus.

Thanks David for the info. I wondered that as well. I just joined and it's pretty easy to do. Thanks...Bill

But make sure you guys upload the pictures at 640 X 480. This setting allows all the pictures to fit perfectly into the forum. Anything bigger and the pictures will be too big for the screen and you'll have to scroll to the right or down to view all parts of the pictures.

Take care,

Eddie

The default setting is 640x480, but you can check/change it below the "Upload images & video" button where there is a link for "more options" if you need to.

OK thanks. I'll give that a try next time.
Doing this makes the actual pictures show up in the post, not just links to pictures, right?

correct, but you will have to copy the "img code" from photobucket and paste that here. then the actual picture will show up here and not a link
