After reading the useful topic for a while, i pick up my baby home and setting the tank for them

here is my baby

tank size 48"x24"x24"

VERY VERY NICE!...Great looking Heckels, and that tank is sweet! I love the color shade of the Heckles in the first pic. All the best with them...Bill

Very nice setup and great looking fish.

However I would suggest putting a top on the tank, I would hate to hear that you lost some due to the fact that they got scared and jumped out the tank.

Thx u guys for the comment, btw i dont know which vartiety of my heckel my fish guy told me that they are Royal Blue Face heckel but i dont think so.

can u guys identify for me ?

It's very hard to tell since they do not have their full coloration.

It's safe to say that they are not "blueface" heckels and the name royal has no meaning either (heckels always have "royal" type striations).

I would guess that they are from the Rio Negro area.

Thanks erikc, and u were right they came frm rio negro but i really want Blue face :(

I wouldn't worry if you don't have any "blueface", I have seen some beautifull Rio Negro heckels and I mean some real stunners.

It just takes time and patience but I wouldn't say no to your Heckels, they really are of a superb quality.

my tank size is 48x24x24 inch with thefiltration as attached, media is bioglass and pummice.

Looks nice. What are sump measurments, what do you feed them (and how many times), wc regime and what is tank stock?

Great looking wild tanks.. You may be sorry you don't have a top on your tank though.. They do jump !! Where did you buy your wilds from ?? Thanks, David T
