Hello all

This is my newly planted 90g and my first attempt going planted Discus. Going to get a Rex Grigg C02 regulator in the future. I also want to try MH fixtures with the swing arm. How many watts should i get ,any recommendations ? My current set up consisting of 2 light fixture and its impossible for me to do maintenanace and feeding without removing one light fixture. I had this set up for about 1 month now had few algae break on the glass but my 5 Sae/15 ottos cleaned it up abit. Still having trouble with brown algae i think on some of my anubia petite nana.

1nvad3r Nice Tank you have there. In my plant tanks I use about 4.5 watts/gal of 6700K T5's/cf's which I think is a little high but totally acceptable if you run Co2. To spot treat your algae problem you can take a syringe and fill it full of seachem excel and apply on the algae underwater. Works wonders for killing out those tenacious algae. When you add Co2 it should hep with your algae problem tremendously.

I'm running an Current USA Orbit power compact fixture on a 90 gllon tank. It has "feet" to raise the fixture 3 inches above the rim, and can be slid back to get your hands in the tank.
I am running 2x65 watt 6700 k and 2x65 watt 10000 k bulbs, which adds up to about 3.8 watts per gallon.I run them on timers for 10 hours. I think that when you get your co2 up and running the algae problem should go away. You may have to play around with the photo period to dial it in.
Thats a nice setup. Good luck!

Very nice, can you possibly PM me any info you got on your spray bars?

I am trying to make an efficient one myself and so far ive come up with wet floor and walls and either too much surface aggitation or none.

Hey Crsfr i think i got it as a Leopard LFS named it ? but i really think its a Red Turq i could be wrong. The tetras are green neon tetra i believe not the real Cardinal tetra. I put them in there to test out if they get eaten ,luckily my Discus are nice.

thanks
