Your welcome. I have an Eheim canister in my original 75. I wanted to try one of these Rena filters in the new 75 gallon we will be setting up this weekend. Foster and Smith shipped it within hours of the purchase.

I have had my xp3 for 13 years now so when I saw that price I got another right away, love this canister system. any problems you send an email to rena and they will help you very quickly! I have a rena smartheater hooked up to it which works great as well.

I got my new Rena XP3 installed over the weekend. The setup was very simple and priming took all of 2-3 minutes. It's very quiet and I have to open the cabinet to hear if it's running. The 75 gallon tank went to crystal clear in a matter of hours. I'm currently running with the media that came with it but plan to run nylon scrubbies for the bio media. All in all a very nice canister filter with a price less than half of the Eheim 2026 I bought over a year ago. What a great deal.

I think any 6 digit product that starts with CD will get a better price if it is replaced with CK in DRSF&S.

XP3 FilStar Canister Filter, CD-907364
$184.99 $157.19

XP3 FilStar Canister Filter, CK-907364
$109.99

You are correct. Thanks for the tip. Not all items however have this sweet of a discount. I was shopping for an AC 110. CK only knocks off about $5.

How do you put a CK in front of it or any item to check for the discount?

IF it is a 6 digit product starts with CD then simply replace CD with CK and do a search with the CK code.

Nice price, posted a coupla weeks late for me. Hooked up my new Cascade 1200 on Monday. Bought it from Kensfish. I now have 2. It'd be nice to gain some experience with other canisters, but my original used Cascade works just fine, so it's tough for me to justify the price premium for other brands...

Blkrob swears by his Renas, and they do have a reputation for reliability. Good deal for anybody who needs one...

You can get the other XP models from them by using the ck prefix also!

The CK code works with the Hagen Aquaclear filters also! They are already on sale and the code knocks off more money!

Would the XP3 be too much filter for a 55 gal? I'm going canister soon and want the Rena but it would be on a 55 gal for a few months before I get my 75 or 90 gal. Does it have an adjustable flow rate to turn it down some for the 55 gal?

It would be fine on a 55 gal. But the CK trick doesn't work anymore.

No, it doesn't work anymore but PetMountain has 'em on sale for 134.00 and coupon for free shipping so that's not too bad of a deal. I could wait for DFS to have another sale but I want one now, getting fed up cleaning the AC HOBs every week and the two 70's don't seem to get the water crystal clear, I'm always having to run the HOT Mag to spot polish to get it where I like it.

So it does have adjustable flow control and even comes with spray bar?

The XPs come with a lot of options. I know they have a spray bar as one, and I am pretty sure they have a flow control as well.

Yep. Spray bar and flow control. And it comes with the separate pieces for different configurations.
