View Full Version : Challenge update-She is a big girl now

On Saturday night when i returned from the NADA meeting at Al's at 1:30 am and i walked in to see one pair spawning. It was too late to play around with the camera so i said the next time i am going to post it. Well this is the second pair in this tank. This is their 3rd spawn and they seem to be figuring it out ok. The male is making his passed and protecting her well. Their water is way to hard at 375 TDS. Excuse the tank as it is very dirty, they get their w/c's in the am.

Really Really nice fish. Look at how small the eye looks compared to body. I like that one a lot.

Your results working with the challenge fish are truly spectacular. Anybody who wants to get the true potential from young discus should emulate your methods. Yours are the best conditioned discus I've ever seen.

Barb:)Hey Barb,once the challenge is over i will separate them and get their water right for breeding with a mix of tap and RO. I am not going to change anything until them though
Really Really nice fish. Look at how small the eye looks compared to body. I like that one a lot.I have a hard time seeing the difference in them. i only can tell them apart when their tubes are out:D
