Quarantine plants? How?

How does one ensure that there are no parasites on plants for an established discus tank? Just picked some red leaf jungle val from Petco and this one has central filtration. Just don't want to introduce ich or other parasites to discus. At the same time, it may not be feasible to put plants in an empty aquarium for 4 weeks? So how do you do it? Bleach? Potassium permanganate?

I have used both and have had greater success with bleach.1 part bleach,19 water and let soak for 2 minutes.I then dump them in a container of water with dechlorinater for another minute then rinse.
Have had no disease oe even snails in a new tank that I just set up with at least 10 different plants.
