I renovated my 60 cube for some discus I have coming in tomorrow. I am putting them in here for a while before they go into the 180.

What are the dimensions of this cube? 2x2x2'? I am considering a cube myself because I like the look so how it works out in your tanks is of great interest for me.

Look familiar :D They are all 4 doing great and picking at different foods. I am not real sure what and if they are eating but i sure have fed them loads of stuff. I need to go in a vacuum up now but i wanted to give them ample opportunity to pick off the bottom for a couple of hours. They actually already start to come up to me when i come to the tank. They will shy away but then start to come up again....so won't be long before they are eating out of my hands. ;)

Yes it is a 2x2x2. I used as a SW tank also and now using it to house these babies until they grow a bit. I love the cube actually. It is pretty easy to manage too.

You're using an overflow and a sump? Is that the overflow in the center? I just assumed that since you said you changed from SW.

Yes both my 180 that houses discus as well as plants and this 60 are drilled with overflows and a sump. I was going to take this one out but decided not to. My 180 is doing so well I said I would leave this one alone.

Thanks. Here is an update pic after the little ones settled in a bit. eating out of my hand on the second day :D I added a small tiny green cory cat and otto which the discus thought was dinner but decided to leave alone. I put the corey in there to try and eat any left over food I may miss when vacuuming and the otto for algae and plant cleaning. Seems like the discus are doing a pretty good job though of cleaning up any left over food. Although it does not appear they are eating much they seem to have fat little bellies ;) Anyway here is a pic of them about four hours after I put them in the tank yesterday
Oh and they are already eating out of the cone feeder....LOL they learn quick!
