coloring and pattern

i think this should be the rite place to post this.
at what size and month should young discus start to show coloring and patterns?

This depends on the strain but for the most part, I'd say 3-4 months. This is just the beginning of color and pattern and as they grow into adults, they will acquire full pattern/coloration.

well i have six juvie red turquiose, they are about 2 to 2.5 inches and they are staring to color up, and i,ve been doing some research on theses guy's and it seems like they are the ones that don't grow to more then 8 inches. they are starting to color and pattern around the fins, and their stripes come and go.

Thats about right, at three months of age they can be 2.5" in size. ;)
