I'd bought one of Jim's plaques in the past and they really are nice designs... These one for the show look great! Nice work!!!:):)

These discus came out great, and once mounted on the plaques they will look fantastic.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone and a special thank you to Jerry. Word has it that the discus have landed. Unfortunately I cannot attend the show:( so I urge all shutterbugs to snap many a pic!

Hmmmmmm what would that do to the value of an award, those people that go above and beyond to make from a show a success by putting Discus in the/a show.

I would say give everybody who take the afford to put Discus in a show an award, each and every one is a winner,

I typically only make sculptures like this for awards. Selling outright and making them available to everyone would make them less special to those who work so hard to raise show fish.

In the rare event that I offer one for sale, grab it fast because it might be another year or so before I make another. Brewmaster seized the moment when I offered one here a few years ago!

I'd like to mention that it was 100% Jerrys idea that I make fish awards. Before that, I was selling them as fridge magnets, belt buckles, light switchplates, keychains etc...
