Hi All,
I had a good friend of mine, David, over for a visit today and while he was over, I fed my discus their morning feeding of Freeze Dried Australian Blackworms.. Of course the Discus went Berserk for them;):) It made me realize though that I have not posted any videos of my discus chowing down on these yet...and it got me thinking I should post a video... Then I realized that I see that everyday here.:) and what I really want to see is videos of everyone else's Discus chowing down Freeze Dried Australian Blackworms!

SOOOOooooo....Heres the deal...Post a video in this thread of your discus chowing down on Freeze dried Australian Blackworms and I will pick the best Video and if picked you win a 50gram bag of either loose or cubed Blackworms (your choice) shipping included. I'll let the contest go until the end of June or until we get 20 videos posted...which ever comes first.

Hows that for an easy way to win some free and tasty Freeze Dried Australian blackworms from Aquaticsuppliers.com?

Lets see those videos!

Oh, I get it!!! This is another one of those "you gotta buy some to get some free" scams. That's an old trick Al.;)
But seriously, I keep hearing about how peoples fish go crazy for those AFDBW. I wanna see the stuff in action.

Does it have to be just my discus eating them because all of my fish in my planted tank go crazy for them.

Lol Kacey!:) I could sit here and tell everyone all day what a great food it....Much easier and more believable to let everyone else post it.:)

If a picture is worth a thousand words... a movie clip has got to at least be worth a potential customer at least trying them...hint hint.:)

Mishka I'd love to see that too...my severums, angels, festivums, ports and geos all love these worms!:)

Well I posted this one several months ago not long after I first started feeding Mal worms. Posted it on Mal's sponsor section.

Okay - certainly not the BEST videos, but I'll try to do better this weekend! I feed ALL my fish freeze dried blackworms. The loaches and botias go NUTS over them as do the angels. The discus, well, all I have to do is shake the container in front of the tank :D

Here are my wilds chowing down:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNyxCAryuZI

And the domestics:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wRuaREhukY

I swear by these blackworms. They are SOOOO much easier to keep than the live ones.

Oh, and yes, I do feed my discus by hand and yup, I pet them as well;) My tank puppies are pretty easy going.

Thanks Al, they showed up last night in the mail. I have been unable to locate the cable for the good camera, so shot a few with the phone.

Problem was the format that verizon has them in will not load on here. Oh well ...I can say that the fish have never had freeze dried anything. Took a few min, but they are enjoying their new food now. I love the fact that its so clean! ...Great product!!!

This is great! Where can I order some of these freeze dried blackworms?

Also, do you guys soak freeze dried foods before feeding so they don't expand? Just a thought..

Love the thread!

Thought I would make a couple of updated videos of some of my guys using the camera on my new phone.
The first is of some red spotted and santarem juvies I just got. The santarem are from John Nicholson and the red spotted are from Jim Hall. One of Jim's red spotted line came in 2nd at the show.
The second is some of my wild blue, Uatuma and a couple of blue face heckels. How many times do you hear someone say discus won't eat from the surface...........

**Video has music on it for those unsuspecting folks.....had the tv and stuff going in the room so I had to cover it up! Mute, turn down, listen....your choice**

Hope you don't mind I gave you a plug in the comments Al. ;) Should of done like others have and held up the bag infront first...ah well.

Very nice video matt, the quality is very crisp. Their colours are so rich, too bad when I select 1080p, it lags, even 720p! I let it load, but it still lags...Your camera sure provide your discus justice :)

Well,
I have to say I have had a real tough time with this one.. I enjoyed watching everyones fish chowing down on The Australian Blackworms....but I have to pick a winner...

and so for this contest, I have to go with Matt (Discus-noob)! Congrats Matt, drop me a pm with your mailing address and your choice of Loose or cubed.:)

Now when I set this up I wasn't going to have more than one winner....but I really liked watching Shelley (embersmom) hand feed her wilds, so I'd like to send her out a second place prize of 10 grams cubed or loose..Congrats Shelley! Shelley drop me a pm and we can figure out how best to get them to you.

Thanks everyone... I probably run another contest this month.

take care,
al

I'll send you that pm.

My wilds go APE over your famous grow-out concoction. I made the mistake of trying it out on them when I was feeding the babies one morning and they went nuts. I'm SO glad I switched over to these freeze dried blackworms. When I think of the amount of time I spent every day cleaning out those live blackworms......ugh.....NEVER AGAIN......!!! Thank you, Al, for making it so easy to keep up my supply :)
