i am lucky enough to live an hour and a half from Mike Beals place.so... my girlfriend and i went up to his place today to pick out a few new fish.This guy has the most amazing fish in stock.He hooked me up with a sweet deal on the fish that i picked out and saved me some cash money which is always awesome!these days it seems like someone is always trying to squeeze a few extra bucks out of you.now that i have my fish in the aquarium and see how nice they look under my lighting i feel like i need to send the guy a extra 100.he was a real nice guy.soft spoken and down to earth.welcomed my girlfriend and i into his home, met his wife and i got a chance to check out the trophies he won this past week in Texas.I am new to this discus stuff but i know a good thing when i see it.the only thing that sucked about today was that i only had room for a few more fish in my aquarium and i could not buy more fish from him.in all honesty i feel like getting rid of the discus that i already had so i can go buy more fish from mike.it was a great experience and a nice day.my plan now is to set up another aquarium.purpose being so i can buy the other fish that i had to leave behind.i will post some pics of the fish another day.i highly recommend Central Ohio Discus

I have never met Mike but I talked to him on the phone once. And yes very very nice guy I bet we were on the phone talking for 40 minutes or more.

4 of my 6 discus have cam from and Mike is a very nice guy, always to make time to talk to you if you have any questions. He has always sent me top quality discus and always arrived in great shape. I would recommend anyone looking for discus to check with Mike for some really great fish

Mike and I drove together from the NADA show to Johns place. I had a great conversation with him the whole way. I like and respect Mike, he knows his stuff. I have bought from Mike several times as well as others on SD. Mikes fish have never disappointed. The size on his fish are true to form. I just purchased two 120 gallon tanks. I will be ordering more from Mike soon:D

Just wondering, are all the pics of the same fish as the colour seem washed out on pic 1 & 5 (Flash?). Though, they don't seem like the same fish as the pic 4 has a weaker chin that pic 5.

If they are the same fish, then now you need to find her a nice mate to pair off with :)

the paler one is the likely male he has shown attention to the female but did not attempt any passes to fertilize. these are young discus its thier first attempt to spawn:D

For an albino, the red is pretty intense for the female and male.

Any idea how old they are and how big (TL/SL)?

i have 7 of these and this is the reddest one they are all give or take 5 inches plus total length
