In the next few weeks, I'll be tearing down an aquarium and setting it up again.

Question:
What do I do to "sterilize" it? Algae-wise.

I've had to battle algae problems with the one I currently have. I've learned how to set it up properly, but I'd like a fresh start -- meaning proper nutrition and a great CO2 system.

Fighting algae is tough, once it has gone out of control!!!

Thanks for any input.

I would say a nice bleach bath will kill all the algea left in the tank after the tear down and rinse very well and may sure to let it over flow for awhile out in the drive way to get all the bleach stuck under the top trim and center brace and then let air dry and tip it on it side and blast it out with a hose again and fill er up
