Expected growth rate

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this web site but am learning so much. I wanted to know what would be considered a "normal" growth rate for young fish say 2.5"-3.0" in a optimal environment? Any inputs would be much appreciated.

Assuming the 2.5"-3.0" fish are juvenile fish and around the 3 to 4 months age then you can expect to put 0.5" to 0.75" a month for the next few months, it will then slow down some.

Different strains have different rates of growth, and fastest growth is not always the optimum way of growing them.
