Al:

is it ok to feed these 2-3 times a day?

so far, i've been feeding only once a day.

what are the risks? do you have a sense for how much of the nutritional value escapes during the freezing process?

thanks,
chandan

HI Chandan,
I like to my feed my fish a mixed diet so I don't spoil them on anyone food and variety ensures nutritional requirements are being met.. ..but I do feed my Heckel tank in my living room these 2-3 x a day alternating with pellets and an occassional BH mix...and have for months now ..

Nutritionally the process used to Freeze dry foods has been shown to preserve the foods nutritional values very well and comparable to live/fresh... Freeze dried Foods are flash frozen and dehydrated under vacuum which really minimizes degradation. Just be sure to keep moisture out of the bag....store in a cool dry place in an airtight container like a Zip lock bag.

Hth,
al
