Well it is a work in progress but so far here are some pics of my new 85 gallon. I will be moving my discus over on Sunday. Let me know what you think! :D

I know I'm supposed to be looking at your tank, but can I say I like your wall color:) Oh the tank is beautiful too!:)

The tank looks very interesting. I wish Fluval sold those tanks here in the States. I don't think there is all that much to choose from in terms of tanks and ready made stands here.

Hey Faydra,

I second all the above. Great job:)
You and hubby should get many hours of enjoyment each and every day once Discus are in.

love the tank but I think the background is to distracting. I think the discus colors will show better with a solid color, but thats just mho.

Hi Faydra, Is your tank a Fluval "Profile" series (which apparently replaced their Osaka line) ?
May I ask the cost ?

Very nice Faydra, much easier then refurbishing a older tank. :)

I actually kind of agree with you but I wasn't able to find a plain background in 24" high. I actually wanted to paint it a solid green but my husband doesn't like the plain backgrounds. :( Oh well, the tank is full of water so its too late now!

I don't think so. I got that driftwood online from Big Al. :)

Well all my babies are in their new home and all are doing extremely well. They were exploring and eating bloodworms within 20 minutes! Their colors are bright and I think I might see little smiles on their faces.... :D

Tank looks great. Agree with others about the background, but that's personal preference. I'm not 100% sure, but the plants on the right look like bog plants which would eventually melt if submerged completely too long. I'd keep an eye on it if I were you. I really like how you've used them to accentuate the wood however.
