I've been gradually setting up my 90 gallon discus tank, with the intention of getting 8 discus from one source (as yet to be determined) when I'm ready. I recently found two pigeon bloods on the local CL, however, and they're gorgeous. Am I asking for trouble if I get these two then get the other 6 from another reputable source?

The only trouble you may face is if the put them all in the same tank right off the bat. Keep the two different sources in separate tanks for the quarantine period of at least one month.
If all shows well after that you should be ok
OR
You should be fine with just the 8 in a 90g if that is the only tank you have.

It is always best to go single source if you can. It allows you in this case to completely skip the QT stage and might save you a lot of heartache.

You must quarantine. If you do, you're in great shape. But if you have only one tank, then you're SOL. Listen to John.
