Can this sand work as a Substrate

I am thinking of having two kind of Subtrate divided by plexiglass, I want the foreground to be sand can this one work?? I found it at home depot very cheap.

that will work just fine, just make sure you wash it really well 1st.

reefers use it all the time. if its reef safe, its discus safe.
