Just started to setup a storage water tank outside the house and need find a safe pump that is strong enough to pump water up to the 2nd story (not sure of the exact height). After doing a little research, I read a thread where someone said that a non aquarium pump can leak oils or chemicals. Any ideas if this is true or not? What about a pond pump, should be safe enough for fish in general right? thanks guys

A pond water pump would be fine. I have been using a Pondmaster Mag Drive to pump water from my storage tank to my aquarium.
