Anyone here familiar with rainbowfish? I want some very small fish for a heavy planted tank that I have. I already have Scarlett Badis (Not rainbowfish I know) and looking for an interesting centerpiece type fish. No Discus in This one. :(

Is this difficult fish to keep? or can someone suggest something different?

i thought rainbowfish got big and super carnivorous lol....but ive only ever seen 1 kind of rainbowfish. So if there is a smaller variety suitable for scarlets (btw i LOOOVE scarlets) that would be cool

+1 , and i had Pseudomugil gertrudae males make fantastic display , u'll have to specify the location where they come from , some have very short fins and just ltl dots
very easy to keep and breed

the bigger the group the better the display , with plants like Cabomba they breed all the time and fry survive in greater numbers, i remember they were feeling fine and breeding even in summer heat of 32C all summer long

Try this site: http://members.optusnet.com.au/chelmon/

They are quite easy to keep but you will need a group of at least 6 for them to show their best.
