I was going to piggy back and existing thread and can't find it....think I got deleted......If that is the case here are the pictures I wanted to share. My opinion, I think some have potential and think look pretty normal, not perfect and I knew that from the very beginning since I saw/ witnessed what was send to Philly. And that is why I am not upset....just disappointed....

So, let me begin. The very next day I finally got a chance to take a good at their shape and see how they interacted. I noticed 3 had a bump/small pimple by their tail which is a spinal deformation. I contacted Kenny via email and expressed my concern/ disappointment and forwarded an attachments showing the fish with the deformations.
Another disappointment is that to date I never got a reply :( and don't think I need to harass anyone.

A positive note is that, on the 3rd day I saw some improvement. These were hand picked by me and they did not have the gill issues. Some are just about a little bigger than a quarter or close to 1 1/2 inches.

A week later exactly since I purchased them and when I look at them, I do believe there is room for some improvement but, that all depends on my care for them.

In my email I did not ask for a refund or replacement nor do I want one. I am simply going to move on and make the best of it. There are assumptions I can make or just speculate but, I am not going to do that.

Let the fish pictures speak for themselves

One more thing: Would you consider my thread complaining or product reviewing????

you dont see many wild-wild crosses at that size. not to many breeders out there breeding the fish that dale breeds.you cant compair wild-wild cross fry-babies to domestic strain fry-babies. they grow at different rates and form a lot different then a leopard or most of the other discus that are being bred. i would take those fish in a heart beat. they are going to be beauties if you give them a chance. i havent raised any wilds or wild crosses but a friend of mine does and i always tell him his fry are ugly but they grow into much more beautiful fish then mine.

Fernando,
I did not see an email from you? You picked these out yourself. I gave you all the time and allowed you to pick the exact fish you wanted? I never pressured you to buy anything. I am really confused about this. Spine are deformed and corrected by themself? Not harassing but post public complaints? Come on. I just went through my email again and nothing? You had my phone number which you called to discuss and set up appointment a few times.

Sorry, but you picked those Discus out personally, so you have nothing to honestly complain about. You felt they were worth the money obviously...Bill

Please read my thread again, (part of my thread) I think also, I am being fair and objective.
"A positive note is that, on the 3rd day I saw some improvement. These were hand picked by me and they did not have the gill issues".
"My opinion, I think some have potential and think look pretty normal, not perfect and I knew that from the very beginning since I saw/ witnessed what was send to Philly"

and to be honest I don't think the pictures or the fish are horrible nor did the thread indicate that.

and one more thing, that is weird cause when we communicated I was replying to your emails and there was no problem but the last one just got lost.........

Ok this is where I now realized I am complaining only because I never heard and waited a week or posted this thread that I am getting a response, which I don't really care for anymore.

I guess your email is with the deformed spines. You need to check yourself before criticizing me. You know where I live come on over and we can work it out

Well, all the other threads are locked, missing, or dead,so..this is part whine, part rant, but all true...I dodged most discourse over the weekend regarding a sponsor, as I was waiting for an order of fish, and just wanted my order. A preface (the whine part). I'm now on a disability fixed income..Deciding that I wanted some of these fry coming available, I took a fancy double-barrelled flintlock out of my gunsafe, and drove 225 miles each way to a place in Minnesota called 'Track of the Wolf' where I originally purchased it. A nice 'safe queen'..For you non-gun collecting folks, that's a gun that never see's daylight, just lives in a controlled safe..'Track' is who I purchased it from, so off I went. The gun cost 2500.00 US..I took a 1000.00 US beating, but now I could place my order. After the long drive home, I contacted the sponsor's distributor on the East Coast, placed my order, and he sent me an invoice. I paid it instantly, and that was two weeks ago. after a misunderstandiong, the fish weren't shipped yet. Then the weekend happened. Now I guess I'm getting a refund. (not nearly as fast as when I paid; nothing yet) As one who followed the advice of 'buy from a sponsor', and have given the same advice, all I can say is do moment to moment research, as some crisis may come up, and it may not work out well.......Gary
