I dont know,I was told 2 hydro songe4s would suffice for a 75gal tank with 45% w/cs and I dont think its enough,so I know the hang on the back filters are easier to clean but i have an extra XP2 layin around and wondered whats a better filter.XP2 or AC70?Any ideas?

I prefer a combo of sponges and hob. AC are good, haven't used them in a long time but lots of good reviews.

Hey Bud. I use two hydro sponges and an Aquaclear 110 along with a couple of bristlenose plecos and my 75's are crystal clear and spotless. I could probbaly do without the hydro's and just use the aquaclear which is seeded but Im a firm believer in if its not broken dont fix it. You will be amazed with the results using my setup.

Agreed, add an AquaClear HOB but make it a 110, not a 70.
