canister filter recomendation

I just purchased a 140 gal tank for some discus. I do not know much about canister filters and would like some recomendations.

eheim 2076 or 2078. It is expensive but the best out there. If you want it new, kensfish has the best deal. craigslist will get you good deal if you want used. I wouldnt buy it in ebay if you are looking for used filters because you wont be able to check if it is working properly.

I was told and i learned Canister filters and Discus keeping really do not go hand in hand . Sponge filters and Aquaclears do just fine.

I've had three Magnum 350's for maybe 18 years; I'm looking for something around 500 gph now..Also dozens of HOB's,and sponges..no such thing as a 'bad filter for Discus', just faulty owners...Gary

DEFINITELY GO WITH THE FLUVAL FX 5 CANISTER FILTER. SOME GREAT DEALS ON EBAY. WORKS GREAT ON MY 125 GALLON TANK AND VERY EASY TO SET UP!!
