Hi Simply friends,

I have question in mind about the clearness of the tail. Most of my discus have a clear tail when they are young. As the time goes by when they reach about 6'' up, their tails slowly become darker (yellow-brown, and even black for some red fish).

Is it a genetic reason or it's due to feeding? I fed my discus with Standker BH, Artemia, Granulat, and FBW.

If it's because the effect of colour feeding. Then How come, as we often witnessed in some championship, a giant colourful discus (which is I believed have been fed with colour feeding) but still retain their tail clearness.

These are the picture of one of my fishes. You can clearly recognize the difference on the clearness of its tail

It's all natural...Some red fish have black due to pigeons in their pedigree...
