Quick question from a newbie on the site
should i use a dechlorinator like prime / safe
for waste water from R/O unit as it shouldn't have any traces of chlorine after going
through carbon block ( 2 stage ) is that right .

I've been setting up my grow out tanks with waste water continuously flowing with no filter with 5x faster growth rate
But i just don't know if i should be treating it first as it still mite have traces of chlorine in it which will probably
have a affect on fish later on in adulthood , not sure

If your tap is not treated with chloramine then the waste water is perfectly safe to use for grow out. Just remember to keep it close in temp and ph for less stress.

isn't chloramine = chlorine/amonia
Ph should stay the same and it is heated before entry of tank

It is a chemically bonded ion of chlorine/ammonium and doesn't act as separate entities. The carbon blocks remove only the chlorine safely, if you have chloramine it has to be treated with Prime/other water conditioner before using.
