Does anyone know if any of the sponsers here will sell me about a dozen cardinals only? I'm getting my discus form hans in a few weeks, but he isn't selling the cardinals right now. I'd rather not buy from a LFS. Thanks ahead of time.

My LFS in New Jersey has pretty good wild caught cardinals. 12/$24.99 They usually give me a few extra in case of lost. I just got 1 dozen last week and they are doing great. Some of the full grown I have in my tank are from the same store that I got a few years ago.

Petsmart had a deal a couple months ago for $1/tetra (neon or cardinal).

I've seen this deal at the local Meijer (Walmart equivalent, brand is big in Europe I think).

I'm not a fan of chains or getting them from Walmart/Meijer, but $1/fish is a decent deal. They also have the added bonus of having a 14 day guarantee AND being local. The tetras die like crazy for me, so usually I take advantage of their guarantee.

I do think Snookn has a decent deal on them too...

apparently its Ohio... since all three near my place sold it that way... I had to go to all three because they kept selling out of the otocinclus I wanted.

Thanks guys. I checked with snookn21 and he has a group of 25 cardinals for sale. So my next question is will 6 discus, 25 cardinals, and 1 BN pleco too much for my 75g tank? I have a fluval 304 and a penguin 200 running on it and plan on daily 50% water changes.

I think you'll be fine... it's kind of pushing it, but I wouldn't think too much of doing it. Besides, your cardinals have a good chance of being snacks or just dying (b/c IMHO, that's just what they're really good at doing).
