Hello everyone,

Well today i woke up to find one of my 11 month old discus bloated like crazy and keeps swimming upwards. =[ i've had this same problem once before and it ended up killing my other discus.

Tank: 100g cube
7 discus
angel
arowana
gold ram

i really dont think it my water bc 2 nights ago for the first time one of my discus were laying eggs. But the male kept eating them. I really dont know what to do, i feel bad looking at him suffer. please help.

that works for my guys.. who seem to over eat .. and this works in few hours.. :)

Is the salt more to help digestion or to relax the discus from being stressed?

All of the above from what I've seen and read over the years. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but salt is the discus equivalent to penicillin or aspirin for humans. What I mean is it treats and helps with all sorts of conditions.

Epsom salt is actually Magnesium Sulfate which functions as a laxative. It is different then Aquarium salt.

relax the discus from being stressed

sodium chloride = table/aquarium salt

Thanks guys! i woke up today and he seems fine. i will add some salt though. =D
