I really like this tank, and do not want to mess up the proportions and minimalist look, but I would like more plants, mostly foreground plants instead of the sand look

Do you think a plant back wall / mossy wall would mess with the look

I don't want the lawn grass look but having a hard time deciding what would look good and complement the swords mixed in with the wood.

Tank size 175 BF, 6' L x 28" of tank height , do i go with a HC type of plant very low growing or something up to 6" in height that would be more proportional with discus,

I want to have the planted thing down while I am growing out some discus

Any suggestions
Thanks
Ken

Took my breath away... I'm glad I peeked at this thread. Just gorgeous.

The plants are perfect, not too much... Not too little. The fish are the centerpiece and are so eye catching. I LOVE the one strain look!

Yup, there is nothing more remarkable or striking than a single type tank IMO. ;)

wow, stunning tank. I think blue discus are the best match for a planted tank.

I am thinking of redoing my planted tank and clearing some area. When I saw your tank it is exactly what I was thinking about. Beautiful tank. The problem with having the entire bottom covered is getting the discus to eat the food before it gets into the plants. My plan is to have a 96 inch by 24 by 24 and place the planted areas more at the sides and have a large open area in the center. The other thing I notice is that my plants have done so well the crypts are taking up nearly the bottom half and the discus stay in the upper half. I would not change a thing on that tank.

Jeffery is a master at the craft. He was one of the speakers at the 2008 AGA Convention here in Atlanta. Very good talk!
