Your BKxAlenquer Cross looks interesting. Nice healthy fry. Hows it going with the Blue Knight Pair? You still working on that?

hey Scott,

I am still working with that pair although there was a slight setback, when I startled the male and he slammed into the glass giving himself a head injury that took almost three weeks to get over( completely lost his equalibreum). they have since been relocated a couple times and right now Iam waiting on the female to get back in the mood.........lol

she should get ready soon!! I will keep you up to date on them .......Leo ross

If I have read this right, your minimum order when shipping is 8 fish + shipping costs?

The reason I ask, I think Zchavin thinks your minimum shipping charge is $120 :)

sorry man. with the cost of shipping being so extremely high now days it just does'nt make sense to only ship one or two. it would make them two very expensive little guys!

i guess so lol, i dont deal with the express shipping, the USPS Priority Mail is what I have always gotten stuff in and they are always healthy and live on. Not trying to knock you, just sharing the experience ive had.

you got lucky then! usps was negative three for three with me. everything always takes an extra day or two or three if it ever even shows up!!! I dont personally know of anyone who ships discus through usps unless they are microscopic. at dime size the loss of fish is a very minor expense, also I dont like to take a discus that small off of food for the two days it will take to get them to their destination......Leo

Don't get me started with USPS. They can't even get a box of shrimp from DE to PA (45 minutes drive top) in less than 2 days for me. Twice, from the same shipper. Each time, I have to hunt down the box at the postal office with the tracking number. I would never ship or receive discus via USPS, just too risky.

USPS Priority mail is supposed to take 2-3 days. Why would someone who lovingly invests the time and effort that raising discus requires then send them out via a delivery system that takes so long? I don't think they would, and if someone offered to ship discus to me using USPS Priority mail, I would look elsewhere. Also, the cost of shipping is high for the person doing the shipping as well - box, styro, bag buddies, heat packs, gasoline, time...The person raising discus deserves to cover his feed bill and that probably wouldn't happen if two fish were shipped at a time.

Gorgeous fry, by the way.

Same luck with me using USPS. If you want your fish to arrive dead USPS is the only way to go.
