View Full Version : Filtration
What filtration would you recommend for a 120G Discus tank. Canister or something else?

Hi Farmington, Minnesota. I'm from Minnesota too. I am still setting things up, which seems forever. I am getting a 75 gal tank. I did get 3 Hydro sponges with Fusion Air pumps. There are folks that love canister filters and Hang on back filters. Choice is really up to you. Canisters take a bit more work to clean. I went with Biological sponge filters (Hydro Sponge). I chose not to use canisters or HOB because I will be doing daily 100% water changes. Change water after the messiest feeding of beef heart. All the best, Christian

I have both the Fluval 405 and Eheim Classic - get the Eheim classic awesome filter. Fluvals are junk the dam impeller cover breaks often and I need a spare on hand
