Busy busy!

Hey there Peeps! Been away for a bit, I was super swamped with an intense training course for my upcoming Iraq deployment. It was a month long and was INSANE!!! My training consisted of Combat Life Saver (certified), High Threat Driving, Hand to Hand combat, Advanced weapons tactics, Counter IED, Convoy operations and last but not least Arabic! It's been the best training course I've ever been through in my career!

Anyways, I'm hoping everybody is doing great and your fishes too! This is the beginning of a long break for me as I have 3 more training courses to attend and then I am off to Iraq. I'll check in from time to time and you know when I get back from Iraq, the fishes will be in my tanks again.

Hey there everybody! Hope you are all well. Been training my butt off in preparation for my Iraq deployment. Just finished a course in Oklahoma and off to Washington for survival school this Sunday. Its only a week long and then I will fly back to Japan. I will be in Japan for one week and then I fly out to Iraq. Been traveling like crazy!

Thanks EVERYBODY!!! Been here in Iraq for over a month now and steady truckin. If I said it was safe over here, I'd be lying through my teeth. Things are pretty hectic out here and getting worse as the US military pulls out of Iraq by the end of the year. Nobody knows what the Iraqi Advisors (me) will be doing, if they are staying or going. The uncertainty of it all is INSANE! Just wanted to stop by and say that I miss the fishes, the people, the forum and everything else. Hope everybody is well and I'll be on again soon.

Speaking of pulling out of Iraq, I just received a few pictures from one of the guys that worked for me in Balad, Iraq. I spent two years in that country and left out of Balad November 2006. Balad was a huge operations and logisitics hub. Today it's bare. CLOSED! I can only imagine what it took to clear that place out.
