Hi i finally setup my 120 gallon planted tank it's not much right now but doing the job I want, It use to be a marine tank untill the sump leaked all night and to my shock in the morning the tank was on a lean soo I had to empty it quickly and selling every thing off in the fustration of it!

But everything is good now with it being my second discus tank, but to get it back in order i had to reinforce the insides what a mammoth job i have to say lol! this project took a lot of planning as i intend to raise 9 x 2 to 2.5 inch blue diamond discus to adult hood and hopefully get a pair or 2 in the end for my efforts but i wont bore you any more here comes the specs and pictures

With this tank i'm testing out three things in this tank

First one is DIY substrate on a 5x2x2 second is how low is low light with these LED's and the third is how fast can i grow discus in a low light low tech planted tank with once a month water changes it's doing really good so far with rod lewis discus the growth rates are good so far and will try and update as i go with this project.

just before i end this first post I like to add I do not want to ofend anybody who does daily water changes or bi weekly water changes for young discus, but to say with my life style or lack of life style I should say lol, i don't have the option to do do daily water changes and having 2 years of experience of low tech planted tanks I feel that I have enough experience to do this young discus now so please keep the greaf low thanks for looking and peace out lol
