NEDA new meeting date and location...August 21 in CT???

Hi all,
We had scheduled our summer meeting for August 6 at Martha's House but that meeting was cancelled, and I can't host it here that day. With schedules being as crazy as they are in the Summer..I think its best we reschedule a meeting ASAP> ... My Schedule these days is absolutely nuts but I offer my home to host it again this meeting as backup..... My best date at this time is August 21....Its a Sunday. Looking at my schedule thats literally my ONLY date I can host it in the summer.

Evelyn is trying to get sept/oct meeting going to Canada...which we would use as our fall meeting if it can be nailed down....more on that in Her threads in the NEDA section.

So unless I hear some compelling reasons why not to host it here in CT on August 21 at my home... Thats our Summer meeting.

Barb-q, picnic. drinks and socializing as usual for the crew and I'll try and come up with a good discussion topic.

I apologize in advance if the date doesn't work for anyone. I do however hope that the group can make it.

Where are the orders coming from? not picky just curious. Not sure yet...in the past we have gotten several orders from Kenny's Discus and these have worked out great. It all depends on interest and availibility as well as space ( space here that is)

Lets see if we can get a confirmed head count here... Todays the 8th,...the get together is scheduled for the 21st.... I have alot going on that week before the meeting....so I'd like to get some confirmed numbers here this week.... I know summers are a tough time to meet...and I'd really like to have this meeting...but we need some commitments.

Hi all,
Looks like we will have a slightly smaller group than normal...but Summers are tough times for these events..that said.. I'll provide the main dish... looking at grilling a bunch of Chicken and corn on the cob for the event..if anyone wants to bring something...bring along a side dish of a rice ,pasta or dessert...I'll handle everything else. Just let me know what you plan on bringing so I can build a list.

Hey, wait a second. Our buddy went away to India and never even sent us a postcard.. Then when he got back it took him almost a month to get himself to my house. Thats 2 whole months without seeing my buddy. So, like Al and I said, HE'S OUT OF THE GROUP:):):).... It was nice having my buddy over the other day.

I had the weekend that Martha was supposed to have it set aside for the NEDA, then it got changed. Unfortunately I had already committed myself to do some work at a fundraiser for the local humane society. Like my fishies, I am very active in pet rescues and the local humane society. Infact my next event for them will be in September as well....

What a great time we all had last night. This little get together was such a nice relaxing time. I would like to say
"THANK YOU" to Al and Carrie for once again opening up their house to us. The food was great, Al and Carrie also suprised me with an early birthday cake. Man that cake tasted great. It was nice to see everyone again. My buddy Ashay showed up, and we decided to let him back into the group:):). I can't wait till the next one.

Yo yo.. It was awesome seeing all.. Thanks Al and Carrie for hosting this event. It was great playing Wii (tennis) with Al's boy - Ethan.
Great food; everything was super.

Best part was this event had other things than fish - humming bird photography; camera and lenses discussion on steroids, fishing at Long Islands, how to recover money back for unused fishing licenses - prorated mind you, historical forts in South Carolina and above all coaching to take a super power nap at the traffic light on route 1 enroute Virginia .. people not present or left early missed acquiring some HUGE skills.

and now the only photographer posted photos on website that NONE can access... NICE..

Oh BTW - missed one thing - Archery lessons..

I think this was a true friends get together and spending an evening to be remembered.

As George Castanza would say - "Everybody does something - We did nothing" ... but thoroughly enjoyed
